General Information

Millennium Art Gallery is an art gallery situated in the city of Sheffield, England. The gallery was opened in a purpose-built building in 2001, the glass and concrete building was designed by architects Pringle Richards Sharratt. Two permanent collections are on display at the Millenium Art Gallery, the Ruskin collection which contains paintings, drawings and prints and the Metalwork collection which contains Sheffield’s metalwork pieces. The gallery also has a further two exhibition spaces that are usually used for temporary exhibitions. It is the place to go in the city for people with an interest in art.

Getting there

The gallery is situated in the city centre. If travelling by car, the closest car park is ‘NCP Furnival Gate’. The gallery is a few minutes walk away from ‘Sheffield’ train and tram stations. The 6 and 51 buses stop close to the gallery at ‘Arundel Gate.

Opening Times and Admission

The gallery is open daily, 10am-5pm except for Sundays when the gallery is open from 11am-4pm. Admission is free.
