General Information

The Matthias Corvinus Monument is a monument situated in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. It is a statue that represents Matthias Corvinus who was a former King and local hero, it was built to honour him and was created out of bronze and stone by Janos Fadrusz in 1902. The statue stands at a height of 12 metres, it is one of Cluj-Napoca’s major landmarks.

Getting there

The monument is situated in the Old Town area of the city. You can get there by bus, the closest stop is the ‘Memorandumului Sud ‘ stop served by the 1, 6, 7, 9, 19, 22 and 30 buses.

The monument is situated in a public area and it is free to visit at any hour of any day.
