General Information
Market Square is a central square in the city of Helsinki, Finland. The square is a focal point in the city. Bordered by the Baltic Sea, the President Palace and the City Hall, the square is a popular place for locals and tourists. From Spring to Autumn the square is a hive of activity with markets stalls in operation on the square. The square is also bordered by cafes and restaurants. A tradition at the square is that vintage American car owners meet on each first Friday of the month on the square.
Getting there
The square is situated harbourside. The 2 and 2H trams stop at ‘Salutorget’ which is just by the square. The 17 bus stops at the square.

The square is a public square and it is free to visit at any hour of any day.
