General Information

Man at Work (Cumil) is a statue in the city of Bratislava, Slovakia. It is said to be a statue of a sewer worker named Cumil coming out of the sewers from a manhole. The statue of the man leaning out of the manhole was put in place in 1997 as part of a drive to liven up the city and add something different to the area. The statue has actually become quite loved in the city and is popular with visitors.

Getting there

The statue is situated in the Old Town. The closest tram stop is ‘SND’ which is a short walk away from the statue and is accessed by the 4, 6 and 8 trams.

Opening Times and Admission

You can visit the statue at any hour of any day, although it is best to visit during daylight.
