General Information
Luna Park is an amusement park situated in the Australian city of Melbourne. The park was opened in 1912 and is currently owned by Linfox. The park has a total of 20 rides with 2 roller coasters. Over the years the amusement park has become iconic in Melbourne, even making it onto the Victorian Heritage Register. Its Mr Moon entrance has been a long stay in the park as have many of its rides which date back to the 70s and many date decades further back. Luna Park is a good old-fashioned amusement park.
Getting there
The amusement park is situated near St Kilda beach which is 3.7 miles from Melbourne city centre. The closest train station to the amusement park is ‘Balaclava’ which is a 15-minute walk away. The 3, 12, 16 and 96 buses all travel close to the amusement park.
Opening Times and Admission
The amusement park is only open on weekends and school holidays, 11am-6pm. There is an entry fee of 2$ to the park then you either buy tickets for the rides you want to go on or buy a pass for unlimited access to the rides.
