Leeds Art Gallery is an art gallery mainly dedicated to displaying British 20th century art with its collection recognised as a collection of national importance, the gallery is situated in Leeds, England. The gallery building was built between the years of 1886-88, opening in October 1888. The gallery has a ‘ten key pieces’ promotion of its works, which are all key 20th-century British pieces that the museum uses to promote itself.
The museum is situated in the city centre. The closest train station is Leeds Station and the closest bus station is Leeds Bus Station both are a short walk from the gallery.
Opening Times and Admission
The museum is free to all visitors. It is open six days of the week from 10am-5pm Tuesday to Sunday with Monday being its day of closure. Normal museum rules apply.
