Lake Zurich is the lake that runs through the city of Zurich, Switzerland. The lake is formed by the Linth river which rises from the glaciers of the Alps. Zurich and many other towns have been built up around the lake that was formerly used for the transport of goods into the city of Zurich, it is now used mainly for leisure.
The lake is hard to miss, most of Zurich is built around it. You can walk to the lake from most of the city and the city has bridges that cross over the lake allowing for stunning views.
Opening Times and Admission
Excursions are ran on the lake, such as boat trips and other activities. The lakes water is very clean and it is thought that the best time to swim in the lake is in August.
