Kungsportsavenyn is the main street of the city of Gothenburg, Sweden. It was created in the 19th century and was inspired by other major roads in Europe such as the Champs-Elysees in Paris. It is around 1000 metres length and stretches from the moat in the oldest area of Gothenburg to the Gotaplatsen Square. It is lined with pubs, restaurants and nightclubs.
The Avenyn is situated in the city centre. The 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10 trams all travel along the street and stop at ‘Goteborg Valand’. The 18, 19, 52, 55 and 753 buses all stop close by.
