General Information
Khreschatyk Street is the main street in Kiev, Ukraine. It has a length of 0.8 miles and stretches from the European Square to Bessarabska Square. During the Second World War, most of the street was destroyed but it was later rebuilt with many buildings following a Neo-Classical style. Some major buildings are situated on the street such as the Main Post Office, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the State Committee of Television and Radio Broadcasting, the Central Department Store and also the city’s council offices. The street also has many high-end shops as well as restaurants and bars.
Getting there
The street is situated in the centre of the city. The 24 and 114 buses both stop on the street.
