General Information
The Istanbul Museum of Modern Art is an art museum in Istanbul, Turkey. The museum was opened in 2004 in a former maritime warehouse called Antrepo #4 that was turned into a modern art museum by Tabanlioglu Architects. The museum displays contemporary art created by artists from Turkey and also has some pieces created by international artists in its collection. The Turkish art in its collection was created by Hoca Ali Riza, Omer Uluc, Hikmet Onat and many more.
Getting there
The closest metro station to the museum is ‘Shishane’ on the M2 line which is a few minutes walk away. The 26, 28, 30 and 70 buses all stop a short walk away from the museum.
Opening Times and Admission
The museum is open six days of the week, 10am-6pm Tuesday to Sunday except for Thursday when it closes at 8 pm; Monday is the weekly day of closure.
