The International Antarctic Centre is a complex dedicated to the Antarctic, it is situated in Christchurch, New Zealand. It is mainly used for Antarctic exploration purposes and to educate people on the Antarctic. The complex contains a museum with exhibits on various subjects related to the Antarctic. The centre also has an antarctic room where you can experience what it would be like in the Antarctic through a replicated environment.
The centre is situated just outside of the city centre in the suburb of Harewood, it is right next to the airport. The 125 and purple line buses stop close by to the centre.
Opening Times and Admission
The centre welcomes visitors daily, 9am-5.30pm. Admission is set at 59$ for adults, 45$ for students and 29$ for children. The centre has an onsite restaurant and cafe.
