General Information
Britain's largest aviation museum is the Imperial War Museum situated in Duxford near Cambridge, England. The museum was established in 1977 as part of the Imperial War Museums. It is dedicated to the world wars especially the aviation aspect and has a collection on display that includes fighter planes, military vehicles, minor Navy vessels and materials such as film, photographs and documents. It displays all of the previous at Duxford aerodrome over its seven exhibition spaces.
Getting there
The museum is situated in Duxford which is to the south of Cambridge. You can get there by car with onsite parking available to visitors. The 7A and 132 buses also travel to the museum.
Opening Times and Admission
The museum is open daily, 10am-6pm except for Sundays when the museum closes earlier at 4 pm. Admission is set at £20 for adults, £16 for seniors and students and £10 for children. You can get a discount on those prices if you book online. The museum has an onsite cafe and restaurant.
