General Information

High Park is a public park in the city of Toronto in Canada. The park covers 400 acres of land and has a bit of something for everyone. The park has large areas of open space, wooded areas, gardens, playgrounds and sporting and cultural facilities. One-third of the park remains in a natural state, with a rare oak savannah ecology. The park was opened in 1876 after the land was acquired from John George Howard. High Park is a popular place within the city with both locals and tourists.

Getting there

The park is situated in Downtown Toronto. By metro, take line 2 to the ‘High Park’ stop. By bus, take the 80 bus route which stops at the park. By car, the park has its own car park with plenty of spaces and parking is completely free.

Opening Times and Admission

The park is a public park, it is open 24 hours a day and is free to access.
