General Information
Heydar Aliyev Center is a cultural centre situated in the city of Baku, Azerbaijan. The centre opened in 2012 in a purpose-built building designed by architect Zaha Hadid. The award-winning architecture of the building is stunning with a distinctive flowing curved style. Inside the centre are an auditorium, a gallery hall and a museum. The centre was built to complement intellectual life in the city. Its spaces allow people to meet and show off their skills. It is a key part of modern Baku.
Getting there
You can get to the Heydar Aliyev Center by taking the 1, 2 or 13 buses to the ‘Academy of Fine Arts’ stop.
Opening Times and Admission
The building is open to the public 11am-6pm six days of the week, Tuesday to Sunday; Monday is a weekly day of closure.
