Located in the city centre of Hannover, Germany, is Hannover Zoo. It is the fifth oldest zoo in Germany having been established in 1865. It covers 22 hectares of land and is the home of more than 3000 animals in 237 different species. The zoo runs and is involved with many conservation projects around the world. The zoo has many different themed areas for visitors to enjoy.
If travelling by car, the zoo has over 900 local parking bays which are free to use for 2hrs and any time after that comes at a cost. If using public transport you can get there by bus or by tram. By bus, take either the 128 or 134 lines in the direction of the zoo. By tram, take the 11 line to the zoo.
Opening Times and Admission
The zoo is open daily, 9am-6pm. Admission is priced at 27 euros for adults with concession prices also available. If you book in advance online you will make a saving on any ticket you buy.
