The Gruuthusemuseum is a museum of applied arts that is located in the Gruuthuse in Bruges, Belgium. The museum was set up by the city of Bruges influenced by local art historians, originally the museum had a more archaeological but has turned into a more general museum over the years. On display are weapons, objects of gold and silver, musical instruments, furniture and ceramics and much more. The museum regularly holds exhibitions on different topics.
By car, head to the main parking garage in the city from there it is a 10-minute walk to the museum. By bus, take the 2, 3, 4, 13, 14 or 90 to the Markt, from there it is a short walk away to the museum.
Opening Times and Admission
The museum is currently closed for restoration and refurbishments and will open in spring 2019.
