General Information

Grand Opera House is a theatre situated in the city of Belfast, Northern Ireland. The theatre opened in 1895, it was built to the designs of famous theatre architect Frank Matcham. The orientally styled theatre that was renovated as recently as 2006 has a capacity of 1,063. Since its opening, it has been a popular place in the city with many well known international shows being held between its walls. Today, the theatre is still popular with both international and local theatre producers, it also hosts comedy and dance shows.

Getting there

The theatre is situated in the city centre of Belfast. It is situated a short walk away from ‘Great Victoria Street’ train station. The 15, 513, 515, 516 and 518 buses all stop at the theatre.
