The Grand Canal is the famous 3.6km long canal that passes through Venice, Italy. One end of the canal leads into the lagoon near the Santa Lucia railway station and the other end leads into the basin at San Marco. The canal passes through Venice in a large S-Shape that is popular with ferry boats and gondolas.
Some of the city's ferry terminals are situated in the canal. If you are on foot just follow the water until you see the canal.
