General Information
Gothenburg Botanical Garden is a botanical garden in the city of Gothenburg, Sweden. It is one of the largest botanical gardens in Europe. It was opened in 1923 and covers 430 acres of land. The garden has different themed areas that in total house 16,000 different species of plant. The gardens have different terrains that lend itself to keeping different species of plant. It is a stunning green area where you can enjoy nature.
Getting there
The garden is situated just to the south west of the city centre. You can get there by taking the 1, 2, 6, 7, 8 or 13 trams to ‘Goteborg Botaniska’.
Opening Times and Admission
The botanical garden is open from 9am-sunset. Admission to the garden is free but some greenhouses may have a fee to enter. The garden has an onsite shop.
