Goethe House is the house museum of writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe that is located in the city of Frankfurt, Germany. Johann Goethe lived at the house in the 18th century, it is where he wrote notable pieces such as Götz von Berlichingen and The Sorrows of Young Werther. The house museum shows how the house would have looked when Goethe lived there, it also has an exhibition dedicated to his work and his influence on others.
The house museum is situated in the city centre. The ‘Willy-Brandt-Platz’ U-Bahn stop is a short walk away from the museum, the U1-U5 lines stop there. The ‘Hauptwache’ S-Bahn stop is also a short walk away, the S1-S9 lines stop there.
Opening Times and Admission
The museum is open daily 10am-6pm. Admission is set at 7 euros for adults and 3 euros for concessions.
