General Information
Getreidegasse is a famous street situated in Salzburg, Austria. The street is known for shopping with some high-end designer shops housed on the pedestrianised street. The narrow street consists of high townhouses side by side with shops at street level. The street is known as the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who was born at number 9 and lived there till he was 17.
Getting there
The street is situated in the Old Town area of the city. By bus, take the 1, 4, 7, 8 or 9 which all stop close by to the street.

The street is a public street, it is free to visit at any time of any day; although the shops are usually open at normal working hours.
