The Gardens of the Vatican City are a set of gardens and parks located in Vatican City. The parks and gardens are completely private, they are owned by the pope and they are well maintained green areas. They cover 57 acres of land, which is more than half of the small country. The gardens are decorated with various fountains and sculptures, they are a picturesque place in Vatican City.
The gardens are situated in the Vatican City, which is surrounded by Rome. The 19 tram stops on the edge of the Vatican City, from the ‘Risorgimento’ stop, the gardens are a short walk away. The 23 and 492 buses also stop a short walk away.
Opening Times and Admission
The gardens are not open to the public. However, you can visit them on guided tours. Tours run on five days of the week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9am-6pm. Admission is set at 33 euros.
