General Information

Freedom Square is a square located in Tallinn, Estonia. The square has been a key spot in the city for many years, with soldiers formerly marching on the square frequently. It is still used for military parades and is also used for city events and concerts. The square is bordered by St Johns Church and also includes the War of Independence Memorial. It is a popular meeting place in the city for both locals and tourists.

Getting there

The square is situated in the city centre. The closest tram stop is a few minutes walk away at ‘Vabaduse valjak’, the 3 and 4 trams stop there. The 5, 14, 18, 20, 36 and 191 buses all stop close by.

The square is a public square, it is free to use at any hour of any day.
