Fountains Square (Parapet) is a public square in Baku, Azerbaijan. The pedestrianised square was first constructed during the Soviet rule of Azerbaijan. A number of interesting fountains were built on the square, hence the name. The square was recently renovated in 2010. It is a place where the people of Baku meet as it is surrounded by streets with restaurants and shops. It is also the place in the city where major public events are held such as festivals and celebrations.
The square is situated in the city centre of Baku. You can walk there from most parts of the city or you can get the 18, 31, 37 or 65 buses which stop close by at ‘Nizami Garden’.

The square is a public square, it is free to visit at any hour of any day.
