General Information
The largest park in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is Flamengo Park. The park was created in 1965, it was designed by Lota de Macedo Soares to a Modernist style. The park covers 296 acres of land in the city. The park is in the main a large green area, it has a strong sports tradition with Rio’s marathon races starting at the park. The well maintained park is the perfect place in the city for a picnic, stroll or a game of your favourite sport.
Getting there
The best way to get to the park is by taking the bus, the 102, 105, 107, 309, 409, 433, 471, 472 and 2018 buses all stop by the park.

The park is a public park, it can be visited at any time of any day for free.
