General Information
Fernsehturm Stuttgart is a tower situated in the city of Stuttgart, Germany. The tower is a telecommunications tower that was completed in 1956 and stands at a height of 216 metres. The spike-like structure designed by architects Heinle, Wischer and Partner was the first of its kind to be built using reinforced concrete. An observation deck at the tower provides beautiful views out over Stuttgart and the surrounding areas.
Getting there
The tower is situated in the south of the city. You can get there by taking the U-Bahn to ‘Ruhbank(Fernsehturm)’ which is accessed by the U7 and U8 lines. The 70 bus also travels to the tower.
Opening Times and Admission
The observation deck and cafe is open daily, Monday to Thursday 10am-11pm and Friday to Sunday 9am-11pm. Admission is set at 9 euros for adults and 5 euros for concessions.
