General Information

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is a water park that is situated at Walt Disney World in Orlando, USA. The water park opened in 1989 and is owned by The Walt Disney Company. The theme of the water park is that a typhoon has hit a tropical paradise, with ships, fishing gear and other items used to create the theme. The centrepiece of the park is ‘Miss Tilly’ a shrimp boat impaled upon a mountain named ‘Mount Mayday’, which erupts with a geyser every 30 minutes. The water park has one of the largest wave pools in the world and it is one of the most visited water parks in the world.  

Getting there

The best way to get to the Typhoon Lagoon is by driving to the Walt Disney World complex and parking at one of the onsite car parks and hopping on the monorail to ‘Typhoon Lagoon’.

Opening Times and Admission

Typhoon Lagoon is open four days of the week, Thursday to Sunday 10am-5pm. You can only visit Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon if you have a ticket for the Walt Disney World complex. Ticket prices vary depending on the package that best fits your needs but tickets are usually upwards of 100$ and are best booked online.
