Diergaarde Blijdorp (Rotterdam Zoo) is a zoo situated in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The zoo is one of the countries oldest zoos having been established in 1857. The zoo is operated by the Stichting Koninklijke Rotterdamse Diergaarde. The zoo is home to a large number of animals and a large array of animal species. The animals are all kept in areas that replicate their natural habitats as closely as possible.

Getting there

The zoo is a 10-15 minute walk away from the central transport hub of the city. The 32, 33 and 40 buses all travel to the zoo.

Opening Times and Admission

The zoo is open to the public 9am-5pm daily. Admission to the zoo is set at 23 euros for adults and 18.50 euros for children. If you book online in advance you will receive a discount on those prices.
