Dealey Plaza is a city park situated in Dallas, USA. It is said to be the “birthplace of Dallas”, as it was the location of the first home built in Dallas and also the first courthouse, post office and first lodge. It was completed in 1940 and was named a National Historic Landmark in 1993 due to President John F Kennedy being assassinated at the park in 1963 and therefore a need for the area to be preserved. The Dealey Plaza is a large open green space that includes a grassy knoll, it is a busy area of town.
The park is situated a short walk away from ‘Union’ station. Trains, light-rail and bus services all run to and from the station.

The park is open during daylight hours and is free for the public to access.
