The Dallas Museum of Art is an art museum situated in Dallas, USA. The museum was established in 1903 but moved to its current building which was designed by architect Edward Larrabee Barnes in 1984. The museum has a collection of art that passes 24,000 items, it has a large collection of American art and also has collections of African, European, Asian, Contemporary and much more. The museum is known for its award-winning exhibitions.
If travelling by car, the museum has an underground parking garage with a 400 vehicle capacity; parking costs 12$ per vehicle. The closest light-rail stations are ‘St. Paul’ and ‘Pearl’, which are both a few minutes walk away.
Opening Times and Admission
The museum is open six days of the week, Tuesday to Saturday 11am-5pm except for Thursdays when the museum closes later at 9 pm; Monday is the weekly day of closure. The museum is free to access for everybody, although some exhibitions may have an admission fee. The museum has its own shop and cafe.
