The Covered Market is a market situated in the city of Oxford, England. The market has operated in the city since 1774. It gets its name due to its stalls and shops being located in a covered structure. Today, half of the market is filled with traders selling fresh food such as fresh meat, fish and green groceries; the rest of the market is filled with shops selling an array of different items.
Getting there
The market is situated in the city centre. It is a 10-15 minute walk away from ‘Oxford’ train station. The 275 and X8 buses stop close by.
Opening Times and Admission
The market is open daily, 8am-5pm except for Sundays when it opens later at 11 am. The market is free to enter.
Although the traders are friendly, it wasn't my vibe and found the market a bit on the posh side.
