Copacabana Beach is a beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The beach is on the Atlantic Shore, it stretches for 2.2 miles. The beach has forts at either end. The beach has become famous over the years due to its popularity. It hosts the New Year's Celebrations in Rio de Janeiro and has also hosted other events such as the FIFA Beach Soccer tournament. The beach is normally fairly busy when the weather is good with people using the beach to relax or to play sports.
Getting there
You can access the beach from various points of the promenade. The 551, 552, 553, 554 and 2018 buses all travel to the beach.

The beach is free to access at any hour of any day.
