Located upon the top of Gellért Hill in Budapest, Hungary is the Citadella. The Citadella is a fortress that was used over the past two centuries by military forces in Hungary. It was built in 1851 but wasn't completed until 1856, it has been used and occupied by many armies over the years due to its strategic position over Budapest. It was built in a U shape around the courtyard and held sixty cannons. Today it attracts sightseers both for its history and for the panoramic views it offers over the city.
