Casa da Música (House of Music) is a music venue situated in Porto, Portugal. It is the home of three local orchestras. The concert hall was opened to the public in 2005, it was built to the contemporary designs of architect Rem Koolhaas and the Arup Group Limited engineers. Its unique design has been recognised and accredited across the world. The venue became very popular fairly quickly due to concerts at the venue being a very pleasurable experience. Its main auditorium has a capacity of 1,300 and the small auditorium has a capacity of around 300.
The best way to get to the concert hall is by using the public transport network of the city. The closest metro station is ‘Casa da Música’ on the A, B, C, E and F lines. The 201, 203, 209 and 303 buses also stop close to the venue.
