General Information
Carlton Gardens is a park on the northeastern edge of the central business district in Melbourne, Australia. The park covers 64 acres and is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with the buildings located in the park which include the Royal Exchange Building, Melbourne Museum and the award-winning children's playground. The gardens are Victorian in design and contain various European and Australian trees. The gardens and building compliment each other perfectly and make for a peaceful stroll on the edge of the hustle and bustle of city life.
Getting there
The park is situated in the Carlton area of Melbourne. Parking is available at Melbourne Museum which is situated inside the park, parking costs 13$ for an hour. Tram routes 86 and 96 stop at the park. Bus routes 250, 251 and 402 stop at ‘Rathdowne Street’ which is close to the park.
Opening Times and Admission
The park is open to the public at all hours of every day. The park is free to enter and use.
