General Information
Capilano Suspension Bridge is a suspension bridge in Vancouver, Canada. It is a footbridge that stretches across the Capilano River. The bridge has a length of around 140 metres and it is 70 metres above the river. The bridge is situated in a private area that people can access for a fee. It was built originally in 1889 but has been rebuilt and improved twice since, the current bridge dates back to 1956. The bridge provides breathtaking views over the river and the local area.
Getting there
The bridge is located on the Capilano River. It is situated north of Vancouver city centre. The 232, 236 and 247 buses all travel to the area the bridge is situated in.
Opening Times and Admission
The park in which the bridge is situated in is open daily 8am-8pm in the summer months, the park does open on reduced hours in the colder months. Admission is set at 54$ for adults and 17$ for children.
