General Information
Brijuni National Park is a national park that consists of small islands situated off the coast near Pula, Croatia. There are 14 small islands that are around 1-2 miles off the coast in the Adriatic sea. The islands vary in size and have been used for numerous things over the years such as quarrying, settlements and also more recently a safari park. Today, the islands are known for their scenic beauty that makes them a popular spot with tourists, also the numerous activities that take place on the island such as sports and history with 200 dinosaur footprints to be found on the island.
Getting there
The official boat leaves the area of Fazana, the boat takes 15 minutes. You can get to Fazana from Pula by bus.
Opening Times and Admission
Unfortunately, recent rule changes mean that you can not get onto the island free of charge like in the past. These days you are only allowed on the island if you book an official excursion with a tour operator or with the official company of the island who run the boats from Fazana.
