General Information

Bratislava Castle is a castle in the Slovakian capital city, Bratislava. The castle stands on a hill in the centre of the city. It was originally built in the 9th century but after falling to ruin it was rebuilt in the years 1956-64. The castle was built to its last state, it is a rectangular Baroque building with a tower built in each corner. The castle has always been a key part of the city and the country as it was used by past monarchs and is, therefore, a landmark of the city and of the country. Today, the building is used for multiple purposes such as a museum and a venue for musical events.
