Botanischer Garten Rombergpark (Rombergpark) is a botanical garden situated in the German city of Dortmund. The botanical garden stretches for 160 acres making it one of the largest botanical gardens in the world. The garden was established in 1822 as the Romberg family English landscape park. In 1922 the city acquired the park and after the Second World War, it was changed into a botanical garden that has over 4,500 different species of plant life. The gardens beautiful flowers are complemented by an array of monuments.
If travelling by car, the garden has its own onsite car park. You can also get to the garden by using the U-Bahn, take the U49 to ‘Rombergpark’. The garden also has a local train station ‘Dortmund Tierpark’.
Opening Times and Admission
The garden is open 24 hours a day, daily. It is completely free to visit.
