Bilbao Fine Arts Museum is an art museum located in the city of Bilbao, Spain. The museum which was established in 1914 is located in Bilbao’s Dona Casilda Iturrizar Park. It displays a collection of Basque, Spanish and European art from the middle ages to contemporary, its collection is considered to be one of the most valuable in the whole of Spain. It has works of art from famous artists such as El Greco, Goya, Sorolla and Peter Blake.
The main transport hub of the city is a 15-minute walk away. The best way to get to the museum is by bus, take the A2353, A2314, A2322 or the A3517 to ‘San Jose Plaza’.
Opening Times and Admission
The museum is open six days a week, Wednesday to Monday 10am-8pm with Mondays being a weekly day of closure. General admission is set at 9 euros and 7 euros for people over 65, people under 25 enter for free. The museum is also free to enter daily between 6pm-8pm.
