General Information
Belfast Castle is a castle situated in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The castle is situated on the slopes of Cavehill Country Park and with it being situated 400 ft above sea level it has fantastic unobstructed views over the city of Belfast. The castle was built from 1811-1870, it replaced an older castle that had been situated on another site in the city. The castle is built to a majestic Scottish Baronial style.
Getting there
The castle is situated to the north of the city centre. The castle has onsite parking available to visitors. The 1 and 149 buses stop a short walk away from the castle.
Opening Times and Admission
The castle is open for people to visit daily, Monday 9.30am-6.30pm; Tuesday and Wednesday 9.30am-7pm; Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9.30am-9pm and Sunday 9am-5pm. There are an onsite restaurant and antique shop situated at the castle.
