Azerbaijan National Art Museum is an art museum in the city of Baku, Azerbaijan. The museum is the largest art museum in Azerbaijan. It was established in 1936 and is housed in two buildings situated next to each other in the city. The museum has a collection of over 15,000 pieces of art but can only display 3,000 items at one time, so it rotates its exhibitions throughout the year in order to display most of the collection. The museum's collection dates from ancient times to modern times. It has art from many renowned artists.
You can get to the museum by taking the metro to ‘Icharishahar’ which is a stop on the red line and a stop that is close to the museum. The 6, 18 and 65 buses also stop close to the museum at the ‘Icharishahar St.’ bus stop.
Opening Times and Admission
The museum is open six days a week, Tuesday to Sunday 10am-6pm with Monday being a weekly day of closure. Admission to the museum is set at 10AZN for adults with concession prices also available.
