Arpoador Beach is a beach situated in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The beach is known for being the birthplace of surfing in Brazil. The beach is a small bit of sand and rock located between the beginning of Ipanema beach and the Copacabana. It is a place with a friendly atmosphere with people enjoying the sizable waves that hit its shore.
Getting there
The 104, 551, 552 and 553 buses all stop close to the beach.
Opening Times and Admission
The beach is free to use at any hour of any day. Although it is safest to visit in daylight.
