General Information
Arcul de Triumf is a triumphal arch situated in the city of Bucharest, Romania. The imposing arch was unveiled in 1936 after being built to the design of Petre Antonescu. The stone Neoclassical arch was built as a replacement of an old arch. It stands at a height of 27 metres and is decorated with sculptures that were created by Ion Jaela and Dimitrie Paciurea. The arch is the site of military parades that are held annually on December 1st.
Getting there
The arch is situated near other sights in Bucharest, such as the Elisabeta Palace. The closest metro stop to the arch is ‘Aviatorilor’ on the M2 line. You can also get the bus to the arch, the 131, 331, 335 and 783 buses all stop near the arch.

The arch is situated in a public area, it is completely free to visit at any hour of any day.
