General Information
The Air Force Museum of New Zealand is a museum dedicated to New Zealand's Royal Air Force, the museum is situated in Christchurch, New Zealand. The museum opened in 1987 to celebrate 50 years of the RNZAF, it is situated at the first RNZAF base. It was opened with the intent of preserving and presenting the history of New Zealand military aviation for commemoration, learning, inspiration and enjoyment. The collection at the museum tells the story of the air force with items such as aircraft, aircraft engines and memorabilia.
Getting there
The museum is situated at Wigram Aerodrome to the west of the city centre. Take the 80 or 100 buses to Wigram.
Opening Times and Admission
The museum is open daily, 10am-5pm. Admission is free.
